Privacy

Last updated: 8 August 2026

The short version: You can play without an account and without telling us who you are. The site does not use advertising, analytics cookies or local browser storage. We use privacy-focused Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and understand how well pages perform.

If you are a child and want to contact us, please ask a parent, carer or teacher to do it for you. Do not send us your full name, address, school or other private information.

Who looks after the site?

Maths Galaxy is a family-run educational website based in the United Kingdom. A parent or guardian operates the site and is responsible for how personal information is handled.

For privacy questions or requests, email privacy@mathsgalaxy.co.uk.

Information processed when you visit

Maths Galaxy does not ask players to create an account or enter personal information. The site’s own code does not set cookies, store information in your browser or track your activity across websites.

Like most websites, our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, processes limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. This may include your IP address, browser and device information, the page requested, the date and time, and security information about the request.

Website analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see aggregate information such as page views, visits, popular pages, referring websites, approximate country, browser and device type, and page-loading performance. We use this information to understand which games are useful, find technical problems and improve the site.

Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or local browser storage for these measurements, does not fingerprint visitors and does not track individual people across different websites. We do not use it to build player profiles or show personalised content or advertising.

If you email us

If you or an adult contacts us at missioncontrol@mathsgalaxy.co.uk or privacy@mathsgalaxy.co.uk, we receive the sender’s email address and anything included in the message. Cloudflare Email Routing forwards the message to a parent-managed mailbox.

We use this information only to read the message, respond where appropriate, handle privacy requests, keep the site safe and deal with any problem that has been reported.

Why we may use this information

We rely on legitimate interests where necessary to operate and secure the website, understand aggregate use, improve the games, resolve technical problems and answer messages. We consider the privacy and best interests of children before using any information.

Who receives it?

We do not sell personal information. Limited information may be processed by service providers that help us host, secure and operate email for the site, including Cloudflare and the provider of our parent-managed mailbox. We may also disclose information if the law requires us to do so or if it is necessary to protect someone’s safety.

Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards used by those providers to protect the information in accordance with applicable data-protection law.

How long do we keep it?

Technical security, delivery and aggregate analytics information is retained according to our providers’ settings and policies. Emails are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to answer them, resolve the issue, meet legal obligations or protect the site, and are then deleted when no longer needed.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask us for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict its use, or ask for information to be transferred. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

To exercise a right, email privacy@mathsgalaxy.co.uk. A parent or guardian may contact us for a child. We may need enough information to check that we are dealing with the correct person, but we will not ask for more than is necessary.

If the site changes

If we add advertising, accounts or another feature that changes how information is used, we will update this notice before enabling it and provide any choices or consent mechanisms that are required.
